Crippling Depression - Part 4 (Weapon System)
Crippling Depression is my 30 pound (featherweight) combat robot. This 4 part series goes into all the details behind the design and construction for the robot. In part 4, I talk about all the weapon system. The weapon consists of a 7 pound disc of 0.5" thick hardened S7 tool steel spinning at roughly 6K RPM. It's powered by two brushless motors and housed in a block of 6061 aluminum.
