Jesus Paid It All – arr. Robert Sterling Robert Sterling is a songwriter, arranger, record producer, author, and teacher. His songs have landed at the top of Christian radio charts, recorded by artists including Point of Grace, the Gatlin Brothers, Gold City, and Sandi Patty. Robert is a six-time winner of the Gospel Music Association’s Dove Award. From 1995 to 2003, Robert led the songwriting faculty for the Academy of Gospel Music Arts. In 2003-04, he taught Music Publishing at Belmont University, and he is currently on the advisory board of Baylor University’s Center for Christian Music Studies. He is a graduate of Baylor University. This beloved hymn has been a staple of church music hymnic repertoire for decades. Though the words are originally by Elvina M. Hall and the music by John T. Grape, Robert Sterling has masterfully arranged this hymn for four-part men’s choir. Covering three stanzas and a refrain with each, this piece eloquently walks through the Christian life—from early lack of strength to the promise of redemption and salvation’s completion when we stand before the throne of God.
