I read Last Days by Adam Nevill and made a Last Days book review video despite being somebody who is more of a casual horror book fan. Here's my bad horror book review of Last Days. I didn't think the book was scary, and that it would have made a better movie, despite the fact that I don't like a lot of scary movies and need horror books to get into the genre because they slow down the scary parts enough for me to finish them.
