Prof. Takatso Mofokeng is one of Africa's most distinguished Black theologians, whose scholarship has profoundly shaped Black Theology, liberation theology, and contextual biblical interpretation. His ministry and academic work continue to inspire generations of church leaders, theologians, and justice advocates across the world. One of his landmark contributions is his doctoral dissertation: "The Crucified Among the Crossbearers: Toward a Black Christology" (1983) This pioneering work remains a foundational text in Black Theology, presenting Christ as one who stands in solidarity with the oppressed and calling the Church to embody God's liberating mission in the world.
