Why Jaws is Steven Spielberg's Best Movie?

Hi everyone and welcome to my retrospective analysis on "Jaws"! This has been my favorite movie for a long time but does that mean anything? That could just be nostalgia so I want to explore if "Jaws" is actually Steven Spielberg’s best movie? In this retrospective analysis, I’ll explore what makes this iconic thriller such a masterpiece while also taking a closer look at some of its flaws. Jaws has some incredibly varied and masterfully crafted suspense scenes to go along with the incredible chemistry of the main trio (Brody, Hooper, and Quint). Jaws is also EXTREMELY focused...Spielberg can often get too sentimental or schmaltzy or preachy in his movies...but Jaws is so well paced and has no bloat to it. Jaws is perfect! But even great films have their flaws! And honestly, Jaws has only one minor plot device that bothers me slightly, and the rest of the issues are just nitpicks.
