UHI Public Lecture - Dr Richard Holloway, writer and broadcaster

The term social responsibility is widely used today. It refers to the ideology that an individual or organisation should behave in a way that is not detrimental to society but instead benefits it. For example, there should be a balance in organisations between what they do for profit and the effect it has on society at large. For this series of events, we would specifically like to explore the perspectives of 3 individuals working in communication and how they feel about social responsibility in this area. A frequent broadcaster, Dr Holloway has presented a number of television series, including Holloway's Road, The Sword and the Cross and Art and Soul. He presented BBC Radio Scotland's flagship book programme, Cover Stories for three years and currently presents Sunday Morning with Richard Holloway. Delivered on 21 March 2012
