Wood Turning A Bowl From Recycled Skateboards, #1

Hi and welcome to the channel. Today were going to be showing you a bowl I made from recycled skateboard deck tails. Thank you to Cindy S. who provided the deck tails for this projects and who saved me the effort of removing all the deck grip tape. These recycled decks are made from laminated hard maple with random coloring within the layers. Personally this project was a trip down memory lane due to my huge interest in skateboarding in my teenage years. If you stick around to the end of the video, I inserted some very classic pictures in the video, some of suspect quality but back then we mostly used cheap point and shoot cameras, these were even before the days of better quality 35mm disposable cameras.
