Album Title: In the Song of Dara Puspita Singer: Adarapta Year of Production: 1985 Production: Hemagita & RCA DARA PUSPITA was a very popular all-female band in the 1960s and 1970s. After becoming busy with their respective families, the group disbanded, leaving Titiek Hamzah, who remains active in the music world. The desire to revive Dara Puspita, but the circumstances of the former members made it impossible, led Titiek Hamzah to form ADARAPTA (Anak Anak Dara Puspita), consisting of ATIEK CB, TITI DJ, ENDAH SOEBROTO, and of course, TITIEK HAMZAH. Releasing old Dara Puspita songs such as MARI MARI (better known as MARILAH KEMARI), SURABAYA, PANTAI PATTAYA, and MENGAPA with a more modern sound, the group quickly gained popularity. The album also featured a new song titled AKU DATANG. This group was actually quite promising, but unfortunately, it didn't last long. The group's initial formation (February 21, 1987) stemmed from Titiek Hamzah's desire to revive Dara Puspita. However, the members were hampered by their respective busy lives, leaving Titiek alone, the only one still active in the music world. Eventually, ADARAPTA, meaning "Children of Dara Puspita," was formed. However, this group didn't last long, as the members chose to pursue solo careers.
