The Seat 131 CLX 2000, sold from 1980, was the sporty version of the 131. It was distinguished by its Italian alloy wheels, five-speed gearbox, and the "2000" badge on the trunk. Seat built the 131 CLX 2000, and only 1,800 units were manufactured: 900 in copper and 900 in silver. Inside and out, it was understated and elegant. It was equipped with a 2-liter, 1919 cc, twin-cam engine producing 114 hp. It weighed 1045 kg and had a top speed of 180 km/h, a very high speed for that time.
