Markaz Anas Bin Malik welcomes all by the permission of Allah to the first ever Brisbane conference in 2025 with our guest speaker in person Shaykh Abu Khadeejah. By the permission of Allah we will be able to study The Creed of Ahlus-Sunnah Wal-Jama'ah by Imam Ibn Abi Dawud As-Sijistani, often referred to as the poem "Al-Ha’iyyah," is a concise yet profound work outlining the foundational beliefs of Sunni Islam. Written in poetic form, it emphasizes adherence to the Quran and Sunnah as understood by the righteous predecessors (As-Salaf As-Salih). Key themes include: Belief in Allah’s Attributes: Affirming Allah's names and attributes without distortion, denial, or anthropomorphism, as mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah. Adherence to the Sunnah: Following the prophetic way and rejecting innovations (bid'ah) in religion. Respect for the Companions: Honoring the companions of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and maintaining love for them without excess or neglect Belief in Predestination (Qadr): Accepting that all events, good or bad, occur by Allah’s will and decree Avoiding Sectarianism: Encouraging unity among Muslims based on the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah while warning against deviant groups. The poem encapsulates the essence of orthodox Sunni theology and serves as a guide for maintaining sound beliefs and practices.
