Dusttale - Breaking Point [Original Mix]

So have an Undertale AU based original song. I've been wanting to exercise my ability to write original themes, but I can't just pull one out of thin air, so scenarios from things like undertale AUs are great with that. With this theme I was trying to create a theme that would play right after Sans had to eliminate papyrus for the XP and he ends up going insane because of it. I am aware that it isn't the official one, but it was a really cool way to get a feel for the scene and how it plays out since as far as I know, there isn't much info on this AU as the owner of it didn't have a chance to flesh it out. I felt like this AU could benifit from a more gritty electronic feel so that's basically what I went for. If I really had to choose a genre this would fit for I'd say synthwave, however the sound design is definitely more modern than synthwave would probably suggest which is why I can't really call it that confidently. Edit: Shara told me it seems more like Darksynth which sounds dope so I'll go with that lol This was a piece where I was trying to prove a point to myself. Often times I don't write original music because I just don't like how most of mine go. I would write 48 or so measures then give up completely because I'm just not in love with the ideas I have, so they just sit there and collect dust. But I wanted this to be something I created and could be proud of without giving up halfway or so. But after ignoring my self doubt and just chipping away at the song bit by bit, I was able to come up with this. Whether you like it or not is really just up to you, I'm just happy I was able to create something from nothing like this. Regardless, I hope you enjoy! oh and wash your hands!!!
