In this quick workshop demo, one of our carvers shows the process of carving a rocking horse head at The Rocking Horse Shop. Although it’s called a “quick” demo… anyone who works with wood will know this kind of detailed carving takes time, patience, and a lot of skill! Every rocking horse we create is handmade in our workshop using traditional techniques passed down through generations. The head is one of the most important parts of the horse, where expression, character, and life begin to appear in the wood.
