Zambia's 2026 Delivery Blueprint: From Commitments to Real Results

The Presidential Delivery Unit (PDU) National Delivery Day 2026 was held in Lusaka, bringing together the President of the Republic of Zambia - Mr Hakainde Hichilema, ministerial delivery units from across the nation, private sector players, international development partners and other stakeholders to report on the transition from commitments to results. From unlocking systemic bottlenecks to breaking down government silos, the progress shared here signals a public service moving toward a "one-government approach" to accelerate the delivery of key national priorities. 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 The Zambia Data Hub is now live, tracking critical indicators like inflation and GDP, while CDF utilization rates have successfully climbed from 20% in 2022 to an average of 86% in 2025. The 50 MW Cooma Solar Plant Project in Choma District, a female-led initiative, creating over 1,500 jobs during construction, and reforms in the mining sector are being solidified through the Local Content Bill to drive wealth creation for Zambian suppliers Export diversification and increased household income remain the primary targets of the current national development cycle. Zambia is is building solutions rather than just waiting.
