KATIATALI (Kathiatoli) -2-

Katiatali (pronounced Kathiatoli) is a developing market area situated on both sides of the Mahasarak in Nagaon District of Assam, inhabited by people from mixed communities. Located about 20 km south-west of the Nagaon district headquarters, 40 km north-east of the Hojai district headquarters, and 9 km east of Kampur Railway Station, the place has a recorded history of Manipuri settlement since 1948. At present, there are seven permanent Manipuri households in the area. I visited a few of these Manipuri households on 22 May 2026. (Part 2 of 3)
