Our journey to Barovia begins. In this first session of Curse of Strahd, we're preparing a new Dungeons & Dragons 2024 campaign from scratch: creating characters, defining the adventure's tone, discussing house rules, the campaign's real dangers… and getting the party ready to cross the mists. Because yes: in Curse of Strahd, a good character sheet isn't enough. You also have to be prepared to suffer. During this session, we'll assemble the story's protagonists step by step using D&D 5e 2024 / 5.5 and @Level20: classes, backgrounds, species, characteristics, hit points, spells, armor, alignment, and the bond that unites the group before entering one of the most iconic settings in fantasy and horror role-playing. All this while discussing the type of campaign we want to play: a dark story with moments of light, character development, and a presence that envelops everything from the beginning: Strahd von Zarovich.
