Kyiv Pride had to take place abroad for the past two years due to the war. But now, organisers are battling to bring it back Ukraine – despite the risks. For queer activists, the stakes are higher than ever in wartime, as many LGBTQ soldiers head to the front without the state recognising their partnerships or families – even if they die.
