Philippines On the Waterfront in Davao Staycation Staying at the Waterfront Insular Hotel in Davao City Philippines. This is a magnificent hotel that I have stayed at many times over the years in my trips to Davao City in the Philippines. I had stuff I needed to get done in Davao for a few days so booked a stay. The first night we were forced to move rooms because the air went out in one of the buildings. The staff were great and got us moved to something temporary for the first night and later went overboard making it up to us for the rest of the stay. The service at this hotel is always world class and this stay was no exception. I will always return to this property because of the great service and the amazing grounds. It is a place that is in the city but feels as if you are in a tropical wilderness.
