In this video, we will explore the history of Lampung, from the legend of the origin of the name Lampung, the stories of our ancestors in Skala Brak around Mount Pesagi, the development of the Saibatin and Pepadun indigenous communities, to the pepper trade era that made Lampung famous on Asian trade routes. This video also discusses how the Lampung region became part of the network of major Indonesian kingdoms such as Srivijaya and the Banten Sultanate, and the arrival of the Dutch East India Company (VOC), which transformed the course of the region's history. This historical journey continues until Indonesian independence and the formation of Lampung Province in 1964, with Bandar Lampung as its capital. Through this documentary narrative, we can understand how a region's long history has evolved over time, and how Lampung's culture and customs persist to this day.
