PART 1 - 2006-2012 Toyota Rav4 Limited V6 (3.5L)- Spark Plug Replacement

I walk through the steps to change spark plugs on a 2009 Toyota Rav4 3.5L V6 engine (2GR-FE). This process is different from the 4 cylinder because it requires removal of the intake manifold. Link to PART 2:    • Part 2 - 2006-2012 Toyota Rav4 Limited V6 ...   The OEM replacement spark plug for this engine is: Denso FK20HR11 gap: 0.-43 In. (1.1mm) Torque: 18 N*m (183 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf) - see note below to reduce torque if using optional anti-seize. Intake manifold gaskets (6) - Toyota part no. 17176-0P021 Intake manifold torque: 21Nm or 15Lbft I did not see a torque order, but these should be tightened a little more over several passes. Tools used: 10mm socket and wrench 5mm allen socket 12mm socket and 12mm open end wrench - for intake bolts on back 5/8" spark plug deep socket (with internal rubber boot). I used a power ratchet: ACDelco ARW1209-K9 G12 Series 12V Li-ion Cordless ¼” & 3/8” Ratchet Wrench Permatex Dielectric Silicone Grease Anti-seize lubricant (optional) - If using anti-seize compound, use sparingly and reduce torque by 30% -not recommended by some spark plug manufacturers. This process should apply to the following model years: 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012
