Hiking 7 days on Alpe Adria trail in Slovenia: the weather is the king

It was early May when we embarked on a 7-day hike across Slovenia while following a much longer Alpe Adria trail. What I thought would be an easy-ish hike, turned out to be a much more challenging and diverse adventure.
