The Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tanzania, Diocese of the North East, Dr. Msafiri Joseph Mbilu, has officially introduced the Assistant Bishop (Dean Elect) Rev. Frank Richard Mntangi to the congregations of the Lushoto Cathedral and the diocese in general, while others who were introduced include the Heads of all 6 KKKT-DKMs Regions as well as two members of the KKKT-DKMs Executive Council representing the Southern Region. Bishop Dr. Mbilu made the introduction during today's Sunday Service on 6/4/2025 at the Lushoto Cathedral Congregation as Dean Elect Mntangi will be the leading Pastor of the Cathedral. Bishop Dr. Mbilu has also called on the diocese to cooperate with these leaders so that they can effectively fulfill the work of God to which they have been called. He also thanked Dean Michael Kanju for the good work he did in the Church of God. Dean Kanju has completed his term of service in the Office of the Assistant Bishop and has reached the time of retirement and therefore the date of the official farewell service and being honored with a special Retirement Service with honor will be announced later. Pastor Frank Mntangi was confirmed by the members of the Fifth (5) General Assembly after the 125th Jubilee of the Gospel KKKT-DKMs held in KOTETI Magamba on 03-05/2025, where also Rev. John Ndimbo was elected as the Head of the Tambarare Diocese, Rev. Issai Mweta was elected as the Head of the Coast Diocese, Rev. Ishmael Ngoda, was elected as the Head of the Western Diocese, Rev. Anderson Kipande, was elected as the Head of the Southern Diocese, Rev. Charles Kakai, was elected as the Head of the Northern Diocese and Rev. Tumaini Kallaghe continues to serve in the Diaspora Diocese serving Christians living in England and neighboring European countries such as Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and the United States. The headquarters of this Diocese is in Reading, England (UK). Bishop Dr. Isack Kisiri Laiser, Head of the KKKT-Diocese of the West Central, Tabora, was the one who preached in this Service who also participated in the General Assembly of the KKKT-Diocese of the North East and was the Chief Speaker of the Assembly and had the opportunity to explain well the Diocese's Main Word for the year 2025 to the members of the assembly. The word from the book of Exodus 33:14 "My face will go with you, and I will give you rest". Bishop Leisar, in his sermon, has called on Christians to stand in the Faith of Jesus Christ and be ready to resist false teachings while urging them to move forward to continue serving God and building his Church with great faithfulness. He added that "The Church and the Lord of the Church, who is the Lord Jesus Christ, do not need gossip because it is not like a mother-in-law, it needs to be served faithfully and no one has ever competed with the Church and been saved." He added that, as Lutherans, we should hold on to the word of God fully and ask Him to help us change those with foolish minds who pollute the Church and distort the Word of God to restore their minds and the word of Christ if preached well will change even their thoughts and ideas and they will abandon their gossip. He also reminded Pastors, Evangelists and Believers to work hard and stop being beggars, after they have left to preach the Gospel, they should go to work to avoid doing foolish things. while emphasizing that the quality of a man in a family is not to wear pants and raise children but to take care of his family so it is their duty to work hard so that they can meet the needs of their families and even mothers should not only rely on their husbands to serve the family but also be in the forefront to cooperate with their husbands in working for the good development of the family.
