Every morning at six o'clock, Kendy goes to a subway station in Neukölln to beg for money. He is one of an estimated 5,000 homeless people in Berlin. At Hermannplatz, along the canal, in parks, or right in apartment building hallways: homelessness is not an invisible problem in Neukölln. Many residents feel that there are more and more homeless people in the district – but is that really the case?
