Steel Industry Transformation: from Carbon to Green Webinar (AIST Webinar)

The AIST Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Member Chapter presents Steel Industry Transformation: From Carbon to Green June 30, 2026 The Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST) is committed to supporting the education and professional development of individuals pursuing careers in the iron and steel industry, beginning with students at the university level. This webinar built on insights gathered during the April meeting and explored practical strategies for strengthening university engagement and improving alignment between academic programs and industry recruiting needs. Discussion topics included the university recruiting sources most frequently utilized by industry partners, areas of misalignment between AIST Steel Intern Scholarship recipients and priority recruiting institutions, approaches for developing stronger relationships with universities offering metallurgy and materials-related programs, and opportunities to increase student participation in AIST programs, events, and industry engagement activities.
