My top 10 Things to Do in Perth That Are Actually Worth it

In this video I go through 10 things I tried out while staying in Perth, just sharing what actually stood out to me and what I think is worth doing if you end up here for a few days. Rottnest Island is easily one of the highlights. I took the ferry over, rented a bike and just explored the whole place at my own pace. The beaches are unreal, and the quokkas really are just walking around everywhere like it’s no big deal. That whole day just felt different in a good way. I also spent time in Kings Park, which is way bigger than I imagined. It’s one of those places where you can just wander for a while, get a really good view over the skyline, and kind of forget you’re even in a city. Fremantle was another spot I kept going back to. It’s got a more relaxed feel compared to central Perth. I did a tour inside Fremantle Prison, which ended up being way more interesting than I expected, and right nearby there’s the Shipwreck Museum, so it’s easy to combine both without overthinking it. Cottesloe Beach is in there as well. I went down there mainly for the sunset, just walked along the shoreline and stayed for a bit. Super simple, but definitely one of those moments that sticks. The Perth Mint was kind of a random visit for me, but I’m glad I went. Watching them melt gold in front of you is pretty cool, and seeing that massive gold coin up close doesn’t really feel real. I also checked out the Art Gallery of WA and the WA Museum. Not something I usually spend a lot of time doing, but both were actually nice if you want something more low-key for a couple of hours. Another small thing I ended up enjoying was taking the ferry across the river. It’s nothing crazy, but it gives you a different angle of the city and breaks things up a bit from just walking everywhere. At one point I went a bit outside the main areas and saw kangaroos, which was something I kinda hoped for before coming here, so that was a cool bonus. I also spent time just walking around the city itself, especially around Elizabeth Quay. It’s not super hectic or crowded, which I actually liked. Everything feels a bit more laid back. Last thing I mention is the weather. I came here expecting it to be hot all the time, but it definitely cools down more than I thought, especially later in the day, so that caught me a bit off guard. That’s basically what I cover in the video. Just my own experience going through these 10 things, what I liked, and what I’d probably recommend if you’re planning a trip to Perth.
