Easy Clementine & Chocolate Cake Recipe | No talking
This recipe for clementine cake is not the traditional one but it is still flavourful. Is more inspired from classic sponge cake with addition of clementine zest and juice for flavour. Dark chocolate ganache works great with clementine cake. Thank you in advance! ***************************** Follow me: *Instagram: @homemade___goodies / homemade___. . *Facebook: @homemadegoodieschannel / homemadegood. . ***************************** INGREDIENTS: For sponge cake: • 75g softened butter • 75g sugar • 2 eggs • 130g flour • 5g baking powder • pinch of salt • 100ml milk • juice from one clementine For clementine syrup: • 1-2 clementine, sliced • 2 tbsp sugar • hot water For chocolate ganache: • 70g dark chocolate • 120ml heavy cream INSTRUCTIONS: 1. In a bowl add butter and sugar and mix. 2. Add eggs and mix after each addition. 3. Add flour, salt, baking powder, milk, clementine zest and clementine juice and incorporate everything together. 4. Transfer the batter in a 15cm mould cake and bake at 180°C for 40minutes. 5. For syrup, slice 1-2 clementines , add sugar and hot water and let them infuse for 5 minutes. 6. For chocolate ganache, microwave dark chocolate and whipping cream for 1 minute then mix until chocolate is completely melted. 7. If the cake has rise to much in the oven please cut the top to have a flat surface. 8. Soak the cake with clementine syrup and pour the ganache. 9. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Enjoy!
