Felt around 3-5mm thick from a fabric store (amount depends on what size organizer you’re making) Measuring tape Scissors Sewing Machine, thread Tailor’s chalk I based the dimensions of the larger one for the Louis Vuitton Speedy 30, it was around 11” length x 8” width x 4” height 2:30 Step 1: Measure your handbag (you can also check the website for dimensions) Width, length and height of bag to determine dimensions for organizer 2:36 Step 2: Draw a pattern (I freestyled mine, but if you’re more comfortable with a pattern, use that) Decide how many pockets, what sizes, etc. Don’t forget to add the flaps! The flaps are where the sides will be sewn together. 3:07 Step 3: Etch pattern into felt using tailor’s chalk (or something similar—something that will easily brush or wash off) 3:45 Step 4: Cut out pattern. Cut pockets. If you want pockets to be flush against the organizer, cut the sides straight. If you want the pockets to pucker out a little (shown in video), cut the sides at a slight angle (like a trapezoid). 4:44 Step 5: Sew pockets first. Sew bottom, then sides. If pockets are flat, just sew the pockets flush against the felt. If you want puckered pouches, pinch the felt in slightly to ensure the sides are sewn perpendicularly to the bottom stitch. 5:46 Step 6: Once pockets / pouches are sewed on, bring corners together (using flaps) and sew straight. 6:05 Step 7: Once all four corners are sewed, trim the flaps to be as flush with the stitching as possible. Cut all extra thread. Voila!
