The Head of the Trenggalek Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj) Office, Subkan Hamzah, explained that officials will only depart the pilgrims for Medina approximately eight days before their scheduled return to Indonesia. "Currently, the Trenggalek pilgrims are still in Mecca. Officials will depart them for Medina approximately eight days before their scheduled return," said Subkan Hamzah during a press conference at his office. Subkan stated that the committee has scheduled the Trenggalek pilgrims' return to Indonesia for June 28, 2026. If all travel goes smoothly, the group is expected to arrive in Trenggalek that evening. "We have scheduled the pilgrims' return for June 28th. We estimate they will arrive in Trenggalek around 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM WIB," he explained. Transit at the Surabaya Hajj Dormitory Subkan explained that the two groups of pilgrims from Trenggalek will transit first at the Sukolilo Hajj Dormitory in Surabaya before continuing their journey overland to Trenggalek. According to the flight schedule, Group 105 will arrive at the Hajj dormitory around 5:25 PM WIB. Group 106 will follow at around 6:05 PM WIB. Because the arrival interval between groups is quite ideal, the Ministry of Hajj estimates that the administrative process at the Hajj dormitory will not take long. "If everything runs smoothly, the pilgrims will likely be able to continue their journey home to Trenggalek without spending too much time at the dormitory," he said. For the pick-up process, the Trenggalek Ministry of Hajj will continue to provide a special bus fleet with police patrol escorts, as in previous years. "We are still preparing a fleet of buses and patrol escorts to ensure the safety of pilgrims. However, we will only finalize technical coordination with local governments and relevant agencies closer to the day of their return," he added. Ministry of Religious Affairs Urges Pilgrims to Beware of Extreme Weather In addition to preparing for the repatriation process, the Trenggalek Ministry of Hajj also continues to remind pilgrims to maintain their physical condition while in Saudi Arabia.
