Whenever I have a sense of being overwhelmed, I try to come back into the present moment and say, 'What can I do right this second that will be progressive?' And I just keep asking myself that question: 'What's the next thing I can do right now that will add to my progress? Is picking that up or picking this up? Which one? Make a decision! Free will is in the very moment. So you have to go moment to moment and keep asking. Don't try to get all of it. Don't try to boil the ocean; just try to get one thing at a time. And if you can do one thing at a time, even if it's for two seconds, you're staying a little ahead of Māyā, which comes for us like a steamroller, so we want to keep that going.
