Outdoor art festivals are often overlooked by artists who are looking to sell their artwork. This is a huge mistake. When I was in art school, I thought art galleries were the only practical way to sell my art. Thankfully, I soon learned that there is a lot more opportunity to sell artwork by exhibiting at art festivals. I'm not saying that art galleries are bad for sales at all. Art galleries have benefits of their own and should be part of an artists marketing strategy.
