In a continuation from chapter 8, Paul will push even deeper into a reminder and encouragement for the Corinthians pertaining to a collective offering that...1) they had previously agreed upon, and 2) that the time had arrived to prepare that particular offering. Paul will encourage them to be steadfast in their generosity by giving some guidelines that are still relevant today for churches and individuals when considering the topic of financial generosity.
