The character "Rei" means "dark" or "dark blue". The ensemble's collective sound is alternately energetic, dramatic, and sometimes destructive. Enjoy this challenging aspect of the piece as one of its expressions. Where the phrases are played in a dispersed manner, you can produce a three-dimensional effect by playing the phrases similarly. The score is very simple, but depending on how you use your breath, you can create a variety of musical expressions. Experiment with various ways.
