The first meeting of the Seminar Series on Neoindustrialization and Industrial Policy, promoted by the Brazilian Center for Strategic Studies (NBEE) of FESPSP, with the support of CORECON-SP and ABED-SP, debated the directions of Brazilian industrialization and the contemporary challenges of industrial policies. With the opening, conducting, and moderating by Antonio Prado (economist and member of the Superior Council of FESPSP) and with the contribution of the invited speakers Ricardo Bielschowsky (professor at UFRJ and former member of ECLAC), Antonio Corrêa de Lacerda (advisor to the president of BNDES and professor at FEA-PUCSP), and Haroldo Silva (vice president of CORECON-SP), we present here a highlight of the reflection addressed.
