Toshiba Elevators & Escalators - Hotel JEN, George Town, MY

Originally installed in 1986 when the hotel was opened as Shangri-La (later renamed to Traders Hotel). These elevators have been given a modernization in the 2010s to look like typical Malaysian Toshiba elevators. Someone else who have visited here told me that on the ground floor the external analog floor indicators were preserved after the mod but now sadly they've been replaced with LED indicators. Another remain of the old floor indicator can be seen above the car door. These probably used to have touch sensitive buttons. Also includes a ride of the escalators that go between the conference rooms and ballroom. They are still original from 1986 apart from the addition of energy saving feature, which automatically shuts down the escalator when nobody use it. I didn't film the other escalators in the lobby since they're the same.
