This jam on modular synthesizers reminded us of David Tudor's Rainforest, in which a room full of running appliances evokes the deep chatter of jungle life. That image, transposed to our own temperate climate, guided us through editing, mixing and mastering. Alas, A Forest being already a hit song by The Cure, this album could not be called that.
