Our car is from 2003, after the facelift. Speaking of the exterior video of this Mercedes, the grille has been replaced, and the wheels are 19" in size, which gives the car a certain ruggedness, and it looks really cool! There's plenty of room in the back. Rear passengers benefit from power windows and separate climate control. It's also convenient that you can create a flat floor in the back or move the rear seats forward, thus slightly increasing the trunk space with the rear seats folded down. Regarding the trunk, the trunk lid opens to a decent height, but unless you're the tallest person, you'll likely find it more or less comfortable. The trunk lid has a couple of compartments for a first aid kit and an emergency light, and there's also a trunk release handle. The trunk is really large, and the spare tire is located under the floor. As for engines, the most common is the M112, a 3.2-liter engine with 218 horsepower. This engine is considered very reliable, lasting up to 500,000 km without major overhauls. One problematic area is increased oil consumption. The most common transmission is a 5-speed automatic, which was slightly modernized after 2000, and since then, the estimated service life is 300,000 km. It's worth mentioning that this transmission also allows manual shifting. The interior of our restyled Mercedes M-Class w163 looks more or less new. Forums often report that the interior is noisy, especially in cars imported from the US. Our car is exactly that, but soundproofing installed all around has largely eliminated this issue. As for options, everything is pretty standard: power windows with soft-close, central locking, adjustable mirrors, heated front seats, an opening rear window, headlight washers, climate control, an ESP deactivation switch, and an on/off switch. Low gears. My first impression of driving the Mercedes B163 was a smooth ride and a high off-road driving position. In terms of performance, I wouldn't say the car is particularly agile, but it's not the slowest either. Handling is okay, but it's more suited to leisurely driving, as the suspension isn't particularly firm, and the car rolls quite a bit in turns. Regarding the brakes, many consider them a weak point, but in my opinion, you can get used to them, and for less aggressive driving, they're sufficient. To sum it up, the Mercedes-Benz M-Class w163 is a pretty good car, but if you're looking for performance, it'll be a bit lacking.
