A distillation column is fed with 1000 kg of an ethanol-water mixture with a composition of 10:90. Knowing that the composition of the ethanol-water distillate is 60:40 and that the distillate stream is one-tenth of the feed stream, determine the mass flow rates of the distillate and residue streams, as well as the composition of the residue.
