Silverdale - Arnside Megaloop, April 2026

Hello viewers. Both of you 😬. After biblical levels of rain for the last 200 years, we are finally seeing some sun in the UK. On a very sunny April Saturday I decided to do a walk and assuming the Lake District would be as relaxing as a bank holiday Monday in the Trafford Centre I though I’d go back to the Arnside and Silverdale National Landscape where it would be relatively quiet (it wasn’t 🥴). This area does seem to attract posh people in big groups with very loud voices who settle in front of prominent landmarks where I want to film, and there are billions of dogs and im very nervous with dogs. This was definitely a ramble, it started at the Leighton Moss RSPB car park, down the the coast past the chimney on the beach to Jenny Brown’s Point then over to Silverdale Cove round to Arnside, then up and over Arnside Knott, past Arnside Tower and fiiiiinally a quiet stretch in the woods to the National Trust car park. Then along The Row (bypassing the golf course as I was peopled-out) and a hop skip and a jump back to the Leighton Moss car park. Excuse my heavy breathing, I haven’t been Matthew Rambling much recently. It was a nice walk though, long but not strenuous.
