Union Pacific's Big Boy 4014 East Through Erie

On June 9, 2026, Union Pacific's "Big Boy" 4014 rolled east through Pennsylvania and into New York on its way from Conneaut, OH, to Buffalo, NY. We managed to make three catches of the 4014 and its executive consist along the way, with heavy crowds at every location. The consist was made up of the 4014 and two auxiliary tenders, NS 1776 "The Bell," UP 1776, 12 Union Pacific business cars, and four Norfolk Southern business cars. This includes 3 total dome cars and the NS 30 "Marco Polo," which was first built in 1927 and used by Franklin Delano Roosevelt as his private car for his time as New York's Governor and the first few years he served as President of the United States. This video features all three catches, bonus still photographs taken at each location, and the radio audio of the train, running under the symbol NS 061, getting clearance onto the main track in the morning. Thank you for watching and please enjoy!
