Bo-Kaap, Cape Town! Ep 449

Our visit to Bo-Kaap in Cape Town was long overdue, spurred by our missed opportunity during the Minstrel Carnival last year. Finally deciding to explore it, we were captivated by the vibrant, brightly-painted houses that seemed to radiate the cheerful spirit of the community. The mosque we chose for our very first visit to one, turned out to be the Auwal Masjid which dates back to 1794. What an incredible experience and one we won't soon forget. Sampling authentic Cape Malay cuisine was a highlight, leaving us eager for a return visit.
