Though there were endless demands on his time, Jesus modeled the importance of choosing rest. In our culture there is an obsession with busyness. We often choose busyness at the expense of experiencing real and restorative rest. When we do so we are living contrary to the example Jesus provided. Rest is holy. Jesus doesn’t invite us into a life of laziness, but he absolutely invites into a regular rhythm of quiet rest. ---- Southeast Christian Church has multiple campuses spread out across the Kentuckiana region.
