Kommando Spezialkräfte Kommando Spezialkräfte der Marine known as Kampfschwimmer, Verwendungsgruppe 3402 Two highly recognizable units of the Bundeswehr. One (KSK) is responsible for the entire spectrum of operations, while the other (KSM) specializes in maritime operations. They gained recognition in Afghanistan. Recruitment to the KSM is different from that to the Jednostka Wojskowa Formoza, but in all special forces selections, the goal is the same: to push the candidate to their mental and physical limits and see whether they assess the situation positively or not. KSM has participated in operations outside the country, the most recent of which was readiness, together with KSK and GSG 9, to combat threats in the Cyprus region, evacuation of its own personnel, or hostage rescue, in response to the war in Gaza. Kommando Spezialkräfte In 1994, during the evacuation of German citizens from Rwanda, the operation had to be carried out by the Para-Commando Brigade from Belgium. The German government then realized that it needed its own unit for irregular tasks. Since then, structures began to form, and the unit officially launched in 1996. A unit for general-purpose use in unconventional operations, counterterrorism, and the like. Similar to Polish JW GROM or Delta Force in the US.
