Vivere l'Università di Catania: Tutto quello che devi sapere su UNICT

Founded in 1434, the University of Catania was Sicily's first university and is now one of the largest in Italy—with over 40,000 enrolled students this academic year, more than 1,300 faculty and researchers, 17 departments, and over 30 research centers. Not only offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs, the University also offers postgraduate programs, including 20 doctoral programs, more than 30 master's degrees, and specialized schools for doctors, archaeologists, pharmacists, physicists, legal professionals, and advanced training courses for teachers. Since last September, the University's Rector has been Professor Enrico Foti. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering and a PhD in Hydrodynamics, and gained experience at universities around the world before returning to Sicily to teach Hydraulics and direct the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture. On the day of his inauguration, he said his main commitment would be to convince recent graduates to stay on the island, "reversing the trend of 'escapes' from Sicily." We came to Catania to ask him what his plan is to promote the region and whether, in these few months, he's already succeeded. #adv Follow us on our channels: YouTube:    / @vdnews_ita   Facebook:   / vdnewstv   Instagram:   / vdnews   Website: https://www.vdnews.it/ TikTok:   / vdnews.tv
