Sammy Davis Jr - Last Public Appearance 1990

From America's Dance Honors, taped in January 1990 and aired on July 5th...nearly two months after Sammy's passing on May 16th. Liza Minnelli taped a special introduction to the show in light of Sammy's passing, citing it as being his last public appearance. Certainly it was his last TV appearance. The set he mentioned he was on in Chicago earlier was to film his appearance in the made-for-tv movie "The Kid Who Loved Christmas", which aired in December 1990. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research.
