‘Rock bottom’: Labor savaged over budget ‘designed’ to sink housing market
Shadow Cabinet Secretary Zoe McKenzie believes collapsing construction confidence and Labor’s budget policies are driving Australia’s housing market into trouble. “What I think we need to remind everyone is this atrocious budget that we’re seeing play out today in Canberra that was aided and abetted from the word go by the Teal movement,” Ms McKenzie told Sky News host Chris Kenny. “Confidence in the construction industry is at rock bottom, so the number of houses being built will be less. “The government seems to be doing everything it can to make it a design feature of the Australian economy to crash the real estate market.”
