Javits Center: Rooftop and Farm | NYC

A visit to the Javits Center to see their green roof, rooftop orchard, beehives, and farm. September 2022. *We were advised to walk quickly past the bees because they were agitated. I found that boundary request to be very relatable so I slowed down the video so you can see the huffy little honey makers. A few interesting things: There is a 10,000-square-foot rooftop orchard with 38 apple and pear trees, a 3,500-square-foot climate-controlled greenhouse, and a one-acre farm. https://javitscenter.com/sustainabili...
