TomSquad reviews the ZWQ S200 Fire Rat--Is this the coolest Nerf Pistol ever?

This is the ZWQ S200 Fire Rat. It is a magazine-fed, slide-primed, pistol that fires half-size darts and really packs a punch. TomSquad would like to thank Zhenduo for sending us this gun for review. The S200 Fire Rat is a realistic-looking Nerf pistol. If not for the red barrel extension this could easily be mistaken for a real gun. So be careful out in the wild with it, especially if you live in a big city. The gun comes nicely packaged with the gun and one 10-dart magazine. No darts are provided, but any half-length darts will work with the gun. Officially the magazine holds 10 darts but we were able to fit 13 easily. The magazine release is quick and flawless. Cool, huh? And inserting the magazines is just as smooth and effortless. We had zero misfires and dry fires with this gun. The Fire Rat has great ergonomics. It fits easily in most hands. The handle has a nice texture that makes the grip secure and comfortable. The rest of the body seems to be injected plastic, but still has a solid well-built feel to it. The attention to detail of the design is superb. The gun is primed with a slide pull. It is a little awkward to press down these two metal clips in order to release the slide, and then to pull. But once you've done it a few times it does become a little easier. There is a good bit of strength required to prime the slide, maybe a bit too much for children under 7, but once primed it has quite the punch. When using Worker half-length darts we clocked an average speed of 96 feet per second. The highest clocked speed was 107 feet per second and the lowest was 87 feet per second. And this was with the stock spring provided. You can upgrade to a more powerful spring for about 10 dollars us. We will leave a link in the comments section below. The Fire Rat is not just powerful but fairly accurate as well, especially when using Worker darts. All in all, we found the Rat Fire attractive, fairly powerful, mostly fail-proof spring-fired blaster a lot of fun. Although the full assembled gun cost about 79 dollars us, we found it to be one of the best Nerf-style handguns on the market and we give the Fire Rat 2 thumbs up.
