Huawei Pura 90s Pro Max (Global Version) Review: A Rare Misfire
The Huawei Pura 90S Pro Max is the global version of the Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max, and it is powerhouse phone with some questionable decisions. The Pura 90S Pro Max features a 6.9-inch flat OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, but there is no in-display fingerprint reader scanner. The phone is powered by the Kirin 9030S, which is a capable 5nm silicon, but the software UI feels dated in 2026. The phone feels premium and the cameras are powerful, but omits the pioneering 10X lens introduced just last year with the Pura 80 Ultra. The battery capacity is either 6000 mAh or 5200 mAh depending on the region. While battery life is very good, it's not the industry-leading. The Pura 90S Pro Max is still a very, very good phone, but as someone with very high expectations of Huawei, this one leaves me feeling a bit underwhelmed.
