At an exclusive preview event, the new prototypes were presented in detail for the first time. It quickly became apparent that Morelo hadn't simply made minor model updates. Instead, the entire model series structure was redesigned, elevating the Empire Liner to a completely new level. The centerpiece of this revolution is the new Iveco S-WAY 18-tonne chassis, which will power the Empire Liner and is designed to provide significantly improved driving comfort, payload capacity, and long-distance capability. This new model strategy brings greater clarity to the Morelo lineup. While the Grand Empire continues to rely on the Mercedes Actros, the Empire Liner now uses the Iveco S-WAY as its base vehicle. The Palace Liner is switching to the Atego chassis, and the Eurocargo will henceforth be marketed under the Loftliner series. This creates a significantly clearer structure within the model family. At the same time, the Empire Liner receives precisely the technical platform that many customers have been requesting for years. The enormous payload is particularly impressive. Thanks to the 18-tonne chassis, several tonnes of additional cargo remain available. This allows not only the transport of motorcycles, e-bikes, or quads, but even the storage of complete passenger cars in the huge rear garage. Smart cars, Hyundai i10s, or other compact vehicles fit easily. For many long-term travelers and full-time motorhome owners, this is a decisive advantage over smaller vehicle concepts. Nearly every technical aspect has also been revised. New storage compartment doors with a 160-degree opening angle, improved hinge systems, double sealing levels, and optimized safety concepts ensure greater comfort and durability. The new staircase system is particularly noticeable. The completely redesigned entry solution operates significantly quieter than before and features high-quality lighting, including the Morelo logo. This transforms the very first step into a premium experience. Another highlight is the consistent switch to modern energy technology. The 2027 Empire Liner comes standard with a gas-free system. The new Sherpa Nano diesel water heater is included as standard equipment and replaces conventional gas systems in many areas. Combined with high-performance lithium batteries, Victron technology, and modern solar systems, this creates a self-sufficient energy concept specifically designed for long journeys. In the cockpit, the driver and passenger are greeted by state-of-the-art truck technology. The digital instrument display, modern navigation systems, 360-degree cameras, MirrorCam technology, and numerous driver assistance systems provide a driving experience more reminiscent of modern long-haul trucks than traditional motorhomes. The powerful 8.7-liter engine with 400 hp offers ample reserves for demanding routes, mountain passes, and long highway stretches. The interior has also been comprehensively modernized. New surfaces, matte finishes, aluminum details, and high-quality materials create a significantly more refined overall impression. The designers deliberately focused on a modern, home-like atmosphere. New lighting concepts, redesigned kitchen areas, and contemporary furniture create an ambiance more reminiscent of luxury apartments than traditional motorhomes. The new kitchen is particularly impressive. High-quality appliances, large work surfaces, modern fixtures, and intelligent storage solutions ensure that even extended trips are possible without compromise. At the same time, the entire operating concept has been digitized. Numerous functions can be controlled via the Morelo Connect app. Lighting, temperature control, hot water, and other vehicle functions can even be controlled remotely. The bathroom has also been completely redesigned. The recessed shower provides more freedom of movement and additional headroom. New washbasin solutions, modern radiators, and optimized storage options enhance everyday comfort. The generous ceiling height of approximately 2.06 meters creates an exceptional sense of space that meets the highest standards, even during extended stays. Another important aspect is the Morelo community. The company has been investing heavily for years in service centers, dealer networks, and its own training programs. The concept now even includes its own driving school. There, customers can obtain the necessary truck driver's license within a few days and simultaneously complete safety training. This offers enormous added value, especially for newcomers to the world of luxury liners.
