Heat Transfer - Chapter 7 - External Convection - Heat Transfer Correlations for Turbulent Flow
In this video lecture, we discuss heat transfer for turbulent flow over a flat plate. There are many variations of this including situations with constant surface heat flux, constant surface temperature, tripped flow, unheated starting lengths, etc. We show empirical heat transfer correlations for these various circumstances to give the Nusselt number (Nu) and ultimately the convective heat transfer coefficient (h).
