In this prayer, we ask for the intercession of Saint Monica for all those we love who are far from God: children, husbands, wives, relatives, friends, and people who seem to have lost their way in faith. Saint Monica, you knew the pain of praying for a loved one, of waiting without immediately seeing the fruits, of crying without giving up, and of remaining faithful even when everything seemed to take a long time. We pray for mothers who cry for their children, for fathers who no longer know how to reach the hearts of those they love, for husbands who pray silently for the conversion of their spouse, and for families who carry within their homes a pain that no one sees. May this prayer not be just a venting of feelings, but a path to conversion. May it lead us to the Word of God, to Holy Mass, to confession, to spiritual direction, to the Holy Rosary, and to a more faithful life. Present your intention. Entrust to God the person for whom you pray. But also entrust your own conversion, for often we want someone to return to God while we ourselves need to return with more truth, meekness, and perseverance. Saint Monica intercedes. Jesus acts.
